Research Folders
This content is not available in your language yet.
Research folders let you organize cases into projects: group related judgments, add notes, and chat across the cases in a folder.
Creating a Folder
Section titled “Creating a Folder”- Open the research sidebar (left panel when logged in)
- Click New Folder
- Enter a name (e.g., “Contract Dispute - Q4 2025”, “Arbeidsrecht Research”)
Folders can be nested up to 3 levels deep.
Adding Cases to Folders
Section titled “Adding Cases to Folders”There are two ways:
From a Case Page
Section titled “From a Case Page”Click the Save to Folder button on any case summary. Select the target folder or create a new one.
From the Sidebar
Section titled “From the Sidebar”Drag and drop cases between folders in the research sidebar. You can also reorder cases within a folder.
Starred Cases
Section titled “Starred Cases”Click the bookmark icon on any case to star it. Starred cases appear in your dedicated Starred Cases page — a flat list of all your bookmarks, separate from folder organization.
Folder Notes
Section titled “Folder Notes”Add notes at the folder level to record your research observations:
- Open a folder
- Scroll to the Notes section
- Write your notes — these are saved automatically
Useful for tracking your analysis, recording hypotheses, or noting patterns across cases.
Folder Chat
Section titled “Folder Chat”Chat with all cases in a folder at once. Ask cross-case questions like:
- “What do these cases have in common?”
- “How does the burden of proof differ across these rulings?”
- “Summarize the key holdings”
The AI draws from all cases in the folder to answer.
Folder chat is part of Mino Pro. See pricing.
Your Own Documents
Section titled “Your Own Documents”A research folder holds case law. To add your own documents (PDF, Word and other files) to the same matter, upload them to the matter’s case file in the Mino dashboard at app.mino.law.
Managing Folders
Section titled “Managing Folders”- Rename: Click the folder name to edit
- Delete: Remove a folder (cases are not deleted, only the folder organization)
- Reorder: Drag folders in the sidebar to change their order
