Chat
Feitlijn’s chat lets you ask questions about specific cases, collections, or research folders. The AI answers based on the actual case text and shows which sections it used.
Case Chat
Section titled “Case Chat”Available on any case summary page (Pro feature):
- Open a case
- Click the Chat button in the sidebar
- Ask a question — e.g., “What was the court’s reasoning on the liability claim?”
- The AI responds with an answer and source citations showing which parts of the judgment it drew from
Suggested Questions
Section titled “Suggested Questions”Feitlijn generates suggested questions for each case. Click a suggestion chip to ask it instantly — useful when you’re not sure where to start.
Source Citations
Section titled “Source Citations”Every chat answer shows which document sections were used. Click a source to jump to that part of the case text, giving you full traceability.
Collection Chat
Section titled “Collection Chat”When viewing a collection, you can chat across all its cases:
- Ask comparative questions (“How do these courts differ on this issue?”)
- Request summaries across multiple judgments
- Identify patterns and trends
Folder Chat
Section titled “Folder Chat”Same as collection chat, but for your personal research folders. Ask questions across all cases you’ve organized in a folder.
Free vs Pro
Section titled “Free vs Pro”- Free users see a preview of the chat interface with locked suggestion chips
- Pro users get full access to case, collection, and folder chat
- Be specific in your questions for better answers
- Use suggested questions as a starting point
- Always verify answers against the source text — click the citations to check
