Data View

The Data View gives you a Notion-like table interface for your timeline. All your events, players, categories, exhibits, and relationships are displayed as sortable, editable tables — one source of truth viewed from different angles.

  1. Open your timeline
  2. Click the Data tab in the view switcher

The Data View contains five tables, each accessible via sub-tabs:

All timeline events in tabular format with columns for date, party, action, description, category, and sources. Click any row to edit inline.

All players with their name, entity type (person, company, law firm, government), side (plaintiff, defendant, etc.), importance level, and role summary.

Category names, colors, and descriptions. Edit colors and labels directly.

All exhibits linked to events, with number, title, description, and the events they’re attached to.

Player relationships showing originator, receiver, and relationship type. See Relationships.

  • Click any cell to edit it directly
  • Changes sync immediately to all other views (Timeline, Network, Split)
  • This is the fastest way to bulk-edit event details or player metadata

From the Data View you can export your timeline data as JSON — useful for external processing, custom visualizations, or integration with other tools. Click the Export button in the toolbar.
