Data View
The Data View gives you a Notion-like table interface for your timeline. All your events, players, categories, exhibits, and relationships are displayed as sortable, editable tables — one source of truth viewed from different angles.
Opening Data View
Section titled “Opening Data View”- Open your timeline
- Click the Data tab in the view switcher
Tables
Section titled “Tables”The Data View contains five tables, each accessible via sub-tabs:
Events Table
Section titled “Events Table”All timeline events in tabular format with columns for date, party, action, description, category, and sources. Click any row to edit inline.
Players Table
Section titled “Players Table”All players with their name, entity type (person, company, law firm, government), side (plaintiff, defendant, etc.), importance level, and role summary.
Categories Table
Section titled “Categories Table”Category names, colors, and descriptions. Edit colors and labels directly.
Exhibits Table
Section titled “Exhibits Table”All exhibits linked to events, with number, title, description, and the events they’re attached to.
Relations Table
Section titled “Relations Table”Player relationships showing originator, receiver, and relationship type. See Relationships.
Editing
Section titled “Editing”- Click any cell to edit it directly
- Changes sync immediately to all other views (Timeline, Network, Split)
- This is the fastest way to bulk-edit event details or player metadata
Exporting from Data View
Section titled “Exporting from Data View”From the Data View you can export your timeline data as JSON — useful for external processing, custom visualizations, or integration with other tools. Click the Export button in the toolbar.
