ECLI Scanner

The ECLI Scanner extracts European Case Law Identifiers from any text you paste. Useful when you have a document with multiple case references and want to quickly open them all in Feitlijn.

How to Use

Section titled “How to Use”
  1. Navigate to the ECLI Scanner page
  2. Paste your text into the input field — a court ruling, brief, article, or any text containing ECLI references
  3. Feitlijn detects all ECLI identifiers in the text
  4. Click any extracted ECLI to open the case summary

What It Detects

The scanner recognizes standard ECLI format: ECLI:XX:COURT:YEAR:NUMBER

For example:

  • ECLI:NL:HR:2023:1234 — Dutch Supreme Court
  • ECLI:NL:GHAMS:2024:567 — Amsterdam Court of Appeal
  • ECLI:EU:C:2023:890 — Court of Justice of the EU

  • Reading a judgment that cites 20+ other cases — paste the text and get clickable links to all of them
